Guidelines for the processing of repairs
1. Standard prices
Standard prices for repairs apply in UK. These prices include the entire repair, i.e. working hours, parts used, testing and shipping. An overview of the prices is available on the homepage www.kavobox.com.
2. Scope of repair
A repair at standard price includes the functional repair of the corresponding product, such as, e.g., the clamping system, gear parts or spray guidance. Replacement of housing parts and fibre-optic conductors is not included. However, if this kind of part needs to be replaced for technical reasons and the repair cost is driven up substantially, a customised tender will be prepared for the repair.
3. Cost quotation
Repairs offered at standard price do not involve the preparation of a cost estimate. KaVo prepares a customised offer only if the repair is associated with unusually high costs. See 2. Scope of repair.
KaVo shall send the cost estimate to the contact address indicated by the customer by email. If no response to cost estimates is received within one week of issue, the cost estimate is sent again. If no response to the cost estimate is received after a grace period of another week, the product will be returned to sender without repair. A flat fee equivalent to the Small Service Package will be charged, see 4. Small Service Package.
4. Small Service Package
The charge for minor repairs is equivalent to the "Small Service Package", i.e. 69 € plus VAT.
5. Repairs with no standard prices
Some products do not have a standard price allocated to them and are handled in a customer-specific procedure, including a cost estimate if requested.
If a cost estimate is requested, we ask for specification of an upper limit up to which a repair can be done without a cost estimate. If the repair needs exceed the specified amount, we automatically submit to you a cost estimate or, if applicable, an alternative offer.
Exception: If the repair cost is less than 100 €, we generally do not prepare a cost estimate for cost-efficiency reasons and complete the repair without release.
If no repair based on the cost estimate is done, we charge a processing fee of 35 € plus VAT for the preparation of the cost estimate.
This fee is not charged separately, if the repair gets actually done and/or if you accept the alternative offer (e.g. replacement or new part for replacement). Please indicate the number of the cost estimate when you order the alternative offer.
6. Repair order
A repair can be ordered exclusively via www.kavobox.com. KaVo reserves the right to return orders that were not ordered via www.kavobox.com.
By ordering a repair via www.kavobox.com, you accept the KaVo Service Guidelines and agree that the order process is binding.
7. Repair pick-up service
If you order a repair via www.kavobox.com, the repair will be picked up free of charge by UPS on the following working day.
8. Repair-Warranty
KaVo guarantees a 1 year warranty on the repair and the exchanged parts.
